By keeping up with your gutter and keeping it clear from debris and ice, you can avoid leaking issues behind the facia or in your walls.
Over time, gutters get clogged from the buildup of debris; leaves, sticks, and even occasionally random toys. Gutter guards are important to prevent these buildups. They allow water to flow through the gutters while keeping debris out, and with gutter guards installed, maintenance is reduced. This will prevent some homeowners the risk of climbing on top of the roof as it is a high risk.
The 4 different types of gutters guards
Micro Mesh: Our Micro Mesh Gutter Guard is manufactured with T316 Marine Grade stainless steel and durable aluminum build for corrosion resistance and lightweight gutter covering. It has all the protective properties of heavier, more expensive gutter protection. The offset vertical slant system is engineered to deliver cohesive water filtration while preventing leaves and other debris from entering the gutters. These slants even block tiny particles like shingle stone.
Gutter Screens: This style of Gutter Guard is made from heavy gauge steel and has a unique crimped edge which locks directly onto the gutter lip. These Gutter Screens are the strongest of all the metal screens we researched and are designed to retain their shape season after season.
Gutter Covers: Gutter Guard keeps a very low profile, so it goes nearly unseen from street level. Highly effective and cost efficient, Gutter Guard is our best selling hybrid gutter guard. It rests on top of the hidden gutter hangers and should be overlapped 1/2″. Gutter Guard should be riveted or screwed to the front lip of the gutter.
Free Flow Gutter Guards: Applies surface tension to guide water into the gutter while keeping leaves and debris out. The 1/2″ horizontal opening allows this product to handle even the heaviest rainfall volumes. Its design provides the Free Flow gutter guard with a custom fit to any home or roof pitch. Plus, it has a low profile that easily accents the home, hiding metal flashing and keeping gutters from standing out among shingles.
